Malulabelle sprung out of bed, ready for a packed day. “Good morning, Coconut!” Malulabelle stretched into her slippers and loved on her fluffly pup, Coconut.

“Ruff!” Coconut wiggled & wagged and gave Malulabelle a good-morning-lick on the cheek. He always knew how to make her giggle.

“I’m off to school early today. I won’t see you until later. Be a good boy, and don’t forget to say your prayers!”

“Ruff! Ruff!” Coconut leaped & twirled and wagged some more. He was a good boy.

At school, Malulabelle got an A+ on her test. “Yes!”

The cafeteria served her favorite lunch – spaghetti and meatballs. “Alright!”

And, she got to be the line leader the entire afternoon! “This is the best day ever!” Yet Malulabelle felt as if she was forgetting something….

Back at home, Malulabelle scooped up her fluffy pup. “Did you have a good day, buddy? Did you say your prayers?”

“Ruff!”

“Aha!! That’s what I’m forgetting!”

Malulabelle knelt next to Coconut and folded her hands. “Dear Jesus. I know what to do - thank you! Thank you for the gift of this day. I almost forgot to talk to you today, Jesus. But I will always make time for you.”

Our days can be filled with busyness, can’t they? Jesus is with you every step of the way. He waits for you to come to Him in prayer. On hard days, and even on your best days ever, he delights in hearing from you.
