Seeing with Jesus’s eyes can change our point of view.
Malulabelle slumped in her chair at school. It was time to give her book presentation. Her stomach and feet felt heavy as she trudged to the front of the classroom. She took a deep breath and silently prayed. ‘Jesus, I don’t want to give this presentation. Can you help me?
After class, two friends asked to borrow Malulabelle’s book. “Oh, yes!” She loved sharing. Her heart felt sparkly.
On her walk home, Malulabelle’s feet felt as light as the breeze around her. She skipped and smiled. The sun was bright. She slipped on her sunglasses. She talked with Jesus.
“Jesus, is Heaven this bright? Do you wear sunglasses? Do you have Son Glasses?” She giggled.
Malulabelle could see much better with her sunglasses on. This gave her a new thought. She prayed again.
“Jesus, I was worried about my book report. I only thought about the bad parts. Would I remember my talk? Would everyone stare at me? Would my book sound interesting? But that was like sun glare blocking my sight. I needed a different point of view. I needed Son Glasses! To see with your eyes, so that I could focus on the good parts – like sharing a book I liked. Thank you, Jesus.”
It’s true! Jesus can and wants to work through us, even in hard situations. Ask to see with His eyes and love with His heart.
