-Jesus has prepared a dwelling place for us in the Father’s house.
-Trust in Him; He is the way to the Father.
Malulabelle skipped along the path. “Let’s play fetch!” Her little fluffy pup, Coconut, pranced behind her.
“Coconut, catch!” Malulabelle tossed the ball and watched it roll.
“Ruff!” Coconut darted for his little squishy prize and disappeared into the brush. The bushes wiggled. Malulabelle giggled.
“Coconut, it looks like the bushes are dancing!” She stepped into the greenery and found Coconut with the ball in his mouth. “What a good boy!”
“Oh, what’s this?” Malulabelle spied a small, silky pouch attached to a twig. She crouched for a closer look. “A cocoon!” Malulabelle smiled. “Hello, little caterpillar. I’m sure you are nice and comfy in your cocoon home. Keep growing.” Malulabelle felt a burst of warmth in her heart. She wanted to share her thoughts with Jesus.
“Jesus, this caterpillar is your little creation, and a special gift for me to find today. I pray that he stays wrapped up safe and sound in his new little home. Snug as a bug in a rug.” Malulabelle giggled again.
That night as Malulabelle tucked under her cozy covers at bedtime, she had a knew thought. She talked to Jesus again.
“Jesus, I am wrapped up in my blankets. Is this what the caterpillar feels like? I am warm and protected. It’s like your arms are snuggled around me. Thank you, Jesus, for giving me a little home too, in your heart. I am safe & sound and surrounded by your love.”
Jesus tells us He has prepared a dwelling place for us in Heaven. Can you imagine what a glorious place of peace that will be? Trust in his friendship and rest in the comfort and joy of His love.
