Malulabelle strolled through the field of swaying wildflowers. Her fluffy pup, Coconut, tagged along.
“Look at the new blooming petals, Coconut!”
“Ruff!” Coconut pounced between pops of color. He wiggled and wagged. Malulabelle giggled as Coconut discovered a butterfly. He fluttered too, alongside his new friend.
BZZZZZ BZZZZZ
“What’s this? A big bumble bee!” Malulabelle knelt for a closer look. The fat little bee hovered over a flower’s center. He found the perfect pocket for his fuzzy body and snuggled inside.
When little bee seemed satisfied with his visit, he buzzed to the next bright blossom. Malulabelle imagined the little bee’s greeting – Good morning, little flower. Wake up, let’s play!
Malulabelle felt a burst of joy. She shared her heart with Jesus.
‘Jesus. I love this little bee. He is so happy drifting and buzzing. Is he playing? Is he working? Does he even know he is helping the flowers grow and bloom?’
Malulabelle lifted her face to the sun. The breeze swirled across her cheeks. It smelled like lavender. Sitting in the quiet gave her a new thought. She prayed again.
“Jesus, thank you for this little bee. He wakes up each flower; and the flowers come alive with new blooms. It is like he is sprinkling new life through your field. Help me to be like your little bee, Jesus. I want to sprinkle a little of You over everyone I meet and help them come alive with new blooms of your love.”
Have you ever felt a deep sense of peace and joy in your heart after time in prayer? Or felt a prompt to do a kind deed? This is a little spark of God’s love coming alive in your heart! Pay attention to the life-giving ways Jesus calls you to serve. You can be like His little bee – sprinkling God’s love and awakening the hearts of those around you.
