-Live your life for Jesus, so that others may come to know Him through you.
Malulabelle skipped off the bus. It was Field Trip Day!
“Thank you for driving us to the museum today, Mr. Thompson!”
The bus driver was often overlooked by students, but Malulabelle’s kindness made his eyes crinkle as he waved goodbye. “Have a wonderful afternoon!”
Malulabelle’s museum buddy, Sophie, folded her arms and shivered. “Brrr. I left my sweater on the bus,” said Sophie.
“Here, you can wear my jacket until you warm up.” Malulabelle shared with Sophie. Sophie felt warmer on her shoulders right away, and in her heart too.
Inside the museum, Malulabelle and Sophie sketched into their notebooks their favorite exhibits. They listened and asked thoughtful questions. They couldn’t wait to share what they learned on the ride home. At the final display, the girls heard sniffling in the corner. Sitting alone was a little boy wiping tears from his cheeks.
“Hello there. What is your name? Are you lost?”
“I’m Sam,” he blinked. “I can’t find my mom.”
Malulabelle knew what to do. “We can help you find her. Don’t be afraid. You know what always makes me feel better? Talking to Jesus. Let’s do that now.” The three bowed their heads.
“Dear Jesus, Sam is lost and worried. Help him to feel safe with your arms around him now, as we ask an adult for help. Thank you for taking care of us, Jesus.”
Sam took a deep breath and hugged his new friends. "I already feel better.”
Have you ever prayed with a friend to help them feel better? When we share our faith through prayer, or kind words and actions, we are spreading the Light of Christ. Others can see Jesus in us, feel his love, and come to know Him too. How else did Malulabelle share the Light of Christ through her day?
